I didn’t have the best memory of Fort Lauderdale from my first trip there. Too touristy: that how I labelled the city. But I had to go back, it was the last city I needed to check out for the guide I’m working for, I kept it till the last days. And eventually I saw some very interesting things!
Bonnet House
Old Fort Lauderdale
Yachts and canals
I loved the museum of Science!

If you love Fort Lauderdale, explain me why! All right, the beach is long, clean and neat, the museums I’ve mentionned above deserve to spend at least a day there, but… I felt very overwhelmed by the trafic, the heat, the touristy feeling all around; I didn’t find quaint or authentic places to relax and enjoy. It felts very fake. What did I miss?
