We are back in Boston, after 8 days under the sun of Florida, where we spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Ah, Florida… The sea, the white sand beaches, Art Deco hotels, key lime pie… but also, large highways, mosquitoes and summer fruits during winter, huge yachts… We liked these contrasts – at least only during vacation. Boston is only 1,500 miles away from Miami but there’s not a lot in common between these two places, and that’s what we liked about travelling in the US!
We went to 3 different places during this week, so here’s a glimpse of what I’ll talk about on the blog. Coming soon:
- Keys, tiny islands in Southern Florida: we spent 3 days kayaking, snorkeling along the coral reef, and walking in the streets of Key West (here is the video and the blog post about this trip).
- Everglades, we were there only for one day, too bad because we loved it! We did a scary wet tour in a swamp (obviously, this wasn’t my idea). (read the post about the Wet Tour here, and watch the video here)
- Miami, beaches, Art Deco District, botanic garden, Little Havana…. We spent 4 days in the Magic City.
You can find all the articles about our trips in the United States on this interactive map…
And this is the right time for me to wish you a happy new year!
