Before leaving Paris, I wanted to write about all the places I used to go in Paris. Here there are my “girly places”:
Clothes
Mademoiselle Jeanne, 55 rue de la roquette, Paris 11. A colorful bazaar, with clothes, scarves, bags, shoes. Pricey or not. Very good ideas to find different clothes from Zara.
Le corner des créateurs, 24 rue de lappe, Paris 11. Cheap and original jewelry, nice clothes, bags of all sizes, purses, vintage shoes, hair accessories. I love it. It’s perfect for a gifts to a girlfriend.
Héroïnes, 6 rue des Rosiers, Paris 4. I go there to find original dresses, T-shirts or boots.
Le dressing de Brigitte, 85 rue de Rennes, Paris 6. Despite its name completely corny, this shop is great. Used to go there for my lunch break… Nice perfume in this shop, the clothes are great. Ask for discounts, they sometimes do sales out of the record…
For the perfect shoes
Garrice, 30 rue de Rivoli, Paris 4. This address has never disappointed me (except regarding to my bank account). Lots of brands, many different styles.
For a relaxing moment in a “hammam” (steamed room)
Les bains de Saadia, 30 rue des solitaires, Paris 19. This Moroccan hammam looks trivial from the outside … but you’ll have to be patient with the reservation and expect a few weeks to spent a great afternoon there. It is small, super cozy. The scrub is energetic, the lounge is great, the massage with classical music…
For a great haircut
Didact Hair Building, 2 rue du Jour, Paris 1. After years of begging for an haircut, I finally find a stylist who loves my fine hair!
I have not been to these addresses, but they were highly recommended by friends: 2Moss et Cizor’s.
For a unique yoga class
She has been my yoga teacher since 2006 ! Don’t want to explain to who how much I love her class. Be prepared for a radical change !
