Puritan & Company is located in a neighborhood we’re not going out very often: Inman square. We’ve been to this place a long time ago, but I didn’t like the pictures enough to post them… But it would have been too bad to avoid mentionning this restaurant because of that. Cause I loved this place, and according to Bon appétit magazine, it’s one of the 50 best restaurants in 2013 in the US.When we go out, I pick what I’ll eat in no more than 10 seconds. I find a product I like on the menu and that’s it. Manu has a different tactic: he reads everything. At least twice. During this time, I have nothing to do but eat some bread and butter. At Puritain, the brioches were already a true delight.
At Puritan & Company, the cuisine is really good, done with a lot of care even in the small details. It’s creative and rustic and I like the fact that they use only local products. It’s very New England. Manu loved the bone marrow and the lamb cooked in… a sausage ball
Sometimes fine restaurants tend to be too formal, not this one. The place is cool and not too chic.
